Today is International Paper Flower Day and it is the first time I am celebrating it with the rest of the world because for the first time this year Paper Florist all over the world will celebrate this beautiful form of art with a day dedicated to Paper Flowers.
I started making paper flower decorations last year just to give it a try and I loved the process. If you haven’t tried it, I recommend it.
Head to Michaels, Joanns or AC Moore to get some regular paper, cardstock or pearl paper (Cricut.com) – any kind – and see for yourself how therapeutic it is to roll these pieces and turn them into flowers.
Fact: May 14th was chosen as International Paper Flower Day as it coincides with the birthday of Mary Delany, 18th-century botanical paper artist.
